While the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security is conducting a paper investigation of those who applied for auxiliary workers in long-term care centers, Israel has selected 2200 people from a 'lucky draw' on Thursday. Israel's Population and Immigration Authority (PIWA) in Jerusalem has selected 2200 applicants from the 'lucky draw'.

Of which 60 percent are women and 40 percent are men. The representative of the Nepali embassy in Telabhi was not even a participant in the lucky draw. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented at the Israeli embassy in Kathmandu to watch the lucky draw held in Jerusalem.

The Foreign Employment Department investigated the documents submitted by the applicants and sent the final list of 3461 people to Israel for the lucky draw. After the department sent the applicant's name to Israel, a complaint was filed with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security saying that fake documents had been submitted.

Shram requested not to proceed with the lucky draw immediately saying that the documents submitted in the selection process of workers are being checked for authenticity. 43 people have no higher education certificate, no character certificate, training provider institution is not listed, the passport mentioned in the training certificate was issued on a later date than the certificate, and the training period has not been completed.  

Israel has transparently claimed to have drawn a lucky draw. This lucky draw, which was done without the consent of the labor, has come under controversy . According to the labor contract between Nepal and the Israeli side, it is mentioned that the assistant workers sent to the long-term care center will be selected with the consent of both sides.

Labor Assistant Spokesperson Kaviraj Upreti said that it will be resolved through bilateral dialogue with Israel. Since this is a government-to-government process, we do not want applicants with fake documents to participate. Nepal wants to send a skilled person. We want a person with full certificate to be selected from the lucky draw . It was the wish of the Ministry of Labor not to draw a lucky draw while the investigation is being carried out', Assistant Spokesperson Upreti said, 'We will proceed with the recruitment process through bilateral discussions based on the progress made on behalf of Israel, the recommendations of the investigation committee.' After taking the care giver, the foreign employment department started the recruitment selection process from last June 11. Initially, Israel said it would take 500 people. For that, 800 people were requested to keep 300 people in the alternative. However, 4,240 candidates were submitted online, including 2,209 men and 1,815 women. After scrutinizing this application, the department has sent the names of 3431 people. A high-level committee of the ministry is also investigating this.

The monthly salary of those selected is 5884 Israeli currency (about two hundred thousand rupees). The cost of food and accommodation will have to be borne by themselves. The investigation committee has stated that it is investigating the conditions set according to the agreement between Israel and Nepal.
