Nepali students have been complaining to foreigners for a long time saying that nothing happened in the country. Every day, hundreds of young people leave the country through Tribhuvan International Airport with student visas. According to a study conducted by the online platform StudyPortals, 14.3 percent of the international students around the world are Nepali students.

In the last financial year alone, more than one lakh students went abroad to study. According to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, 110,217 students took 'No Objection Letter' for their studies. Similarly, 51 thousand 567 students took 'No Objection Letter' only in 6 months from July 2080 to December 2080. This data of foreign students indicates that it is not suitable to study for higher education in Nepal.

While about a dozen universities and hundreds of colleges are operating. Many subjects including 'A level' are taught in international relations. Various technical and professional courses are also conducted under CTEVT. But why do Nepali students go abroad to study?

Nora Bhattarai says that the attraction to foreign countries has increased due to the search for 'easy and advanced life', 'quality education', and 'secure future'. She says, "Per capita income in Nepal is very low. Lack and inconvenience are the other main reasons. 18-year-old Nora understands that life is not just about getting food, food and shelter. Your wishes, dreams and desires should also be fulfilled.

He thought of studying in Nepal. 23-year-old Amod, who has completed his bachelor's degree, says, 'After seeing and experiencing the situation in Nepal, I no longer think that anything will happen here. That's why I have planned to go abroad to do my masters.

Bidesin forced gen-g 18-year-old Jenia Gurung is preparing to go to Korea. Korea is my dream place. Even if you go on a student visa, you will study and work and earn money. She adds, 'The income in Nepal is different from the income outside.' She says that she is going to Korea because she is interested in makeup and fashion. She sees a huge difference in the income of makeup artists or fashion designers in Nepal and Korea.

Kamal Education System

According to Nora, the education system abroad is different. "Overseas, practical knowledge is preferred over theoretical knowledge," she says, "Reading means learning." Reading by rote does not work. Where does the math formula we read work?' He also doesn't think the way of evaluating education in Nepal is right. A test determines how qualified a student is. Stating that in Nepal, one can get good marks just by studying a day before the exam, she says, "The toppers of Nepal only have theoretical knowledge. It is not practical, that's why when you get a job, you have to start from the bottom line.

Bidesin forced gen-g Amod says that even in the same grade and the same subject, the way of studying abroad and in Nepal is different. "When homework is given in Nepal, questions such as what, why and how are asked, but in foreign countries, questions are prepared by giving real life scenarios." She says that another problem is that the curriculum is not revised in Nepal. “New things are changing in the world by the minute, so they are updated accordingly. That is also the reason why career is secured. Doing the same hard work abroad and here makes a difference in both our career and earnings. She bitterly says that in Nepal, education is also seen as a business.

Unemployed and low income

'Unemployment is another problem in Nepal,' says Nora, 'You spend a lot of money to study, but you don't get a job after finishing your studies. Starting salary is very low. As in Nepal, if you don't get a job, you have to go abroad. Jenia has seen many people who did not get a job even after graduating in Nepal.

'My friends stay at home using mobile phones all day without getting work. Even if you don't have a certificate abroad, if you have skills, you can get a job,' she adds, 'to earn a lot of money in Nepal, you have to be a leader's child or you have to know big people.'

Amod argues that even college toppers in Nepal have to be unemployed. He says, "Even if you are a topper, you will not get a job with a certificate. A good company looks for experience. Therefore, whether a topper or a degree holder, he should start a job with a very minimum salary.' Here only jobs are available in Sourceforce. Those who are capable don't get jobs,' then she thinks that the reason for developing abroad is that jobs are given based on ability. Amod had 40 classmates while studying in class 10. Now there are only 6-7 people in the country. The remaining friends are also trying to go out. Some of them got jobs, started businesses, but when things didn't work out, they are trying to leave," Amod adds, "Youths are getting frustrated in Nepal. The price of the market has skyrocketed, and a small amount of income is not enough.' He says that he is tempted. "If everything is going well in Nepal, who would want to leave their family and go abroad?" Jenia argues, "even if there is misery abroad, there is money." It seems that soon they will go abroad and earn money and send it home. Parents have been earning for 30-35 years and are suffering. Looks like it's my turn now. I would like to ask them what they would like to buy with their earned money. I want to experience that happiness once.

Nora complains that the future is uncertain due to political instability in Nepal. He thinks that if the political system of Nepal is good, the education system will also be good. She says, "If education and employment opportunities were good, there would be no need to leave your country, family and culture."
