European Union Ambassador to Nepal Veronique Lorenzo had a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.

In the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, Singh Darbar, Prime Minister Oli praised the European Union's support in the economic and social development of Nepal and informed that the issue of transitional justice, which is the remaining work of the peace process, is going to be resolved on the basis of political consensus. 

Prime Minister Oli said that the bill to amend the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act, 2071, focusing on the contents of the detailed peace agreement, Supreme Court order, international practice and victims, is in the process of moving forward.

Prime Minister Oli commemorating the 50th year of diplomatic relations between Nepal and the Union, as Nepal is preparing to be a developing country by 2026 and a middle-income country by 2030  He said that the support of development partners is expected. He said that Nepal will be fully committed to the guarantee of democracy and human rights and will be active in poverty alleviation and economic and social development. 

Ambassador Lorenzo wished success in the tenure of Prime Minister Oli, wishing that the priorities and goals of the government would be successful.
