Hana Singer Hamdi, the resident representative of the United Nations for Nepal, had a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Singh Darbar on Wednesday.

On that occasion, Prime Minister Oli expressed his commitment to international commitments and declarations, and expressed his hope for the support of the United Nations to make Nepal's national aspiration 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali' a reality.

Informing that a new government has been formed in collaboration with the two major parties of the country for the prosperity, good governance, development and stability of Nepal, Prime Minister Oli expressed the readiness to finalize the transitional justice law based on political consensus and expressed his expectation of the United Nations' continued support in such matters. 

Resident Representative Singer assured the continued support of the United Nations in the field of development and prosperity of Nepal. The United Nations has been supporting Nepal in poverty alleviation, energy, health, disaster risk reduction and other social sectors. Nepal has been contributing to international peace and security through peacekeeping forces in accordance with the United Nations policy.
