Newly appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has taken the oath of office and secrecy. President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath to Prime Minister Oli at the Presidential Office Sheetal Niwas. UML President KP Sharma Oli, who has the support of Congress, the largest party in the House of Representatives, has become the Prime Minister for the fourth time.

President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Oli as the Prime Minister on Sunday evening according to Article 76, Clause 2 of the Constitution. 

With the agreement between Congress and UML to form an alliance for running the government on June 17, the basis for Oli's fourth term as Prime Minister was prepared. 

Oli became the Prime Minister for the first time on October 24, 2072. His first tenure was 9 months. His tenure ended with his resignation on July 9, 2073. However, he held the office of Prime Minister until another government was formed (July 19). Prime Minister Oli took oath

UML and Maoists formed an electoral alliance in the House of Representatives elections 2074. In that election, the Communist Alliance won nearly two-thirds of the seats in the House of Representatives and declared party unity. On the strength of the same referendum, Oli was appointed as the Prime Minister for the second time on February 3, 2074 as the leader of the parliamentary party of the majority party in the House of Representatives according to Article 76 (1) of the Constitution.
