The Criminal Justice Administration Reform Study and Suggestion Task Force submitted its report to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday. The working group submitted the 'Criminal Justice Administration Reform Study and Suggestion Report, 2081' to the Prime Minister.
The report prepared by the working group under the chairmanship of Attorney General Dinmani Pokharel was read by Prime Minister Dahal at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Sunday. While understanding the
report, Prime Minister Dahal recalled that a task force had been formed for the reform of the law and said that the government would take the suggestions received seriously and take them forward. And suggestions have been made regarding the reforms to be made in the criminal law on various topics including the Criminal Offenses Determination and Implementation Act, 2074.
Attorney General Pokharle expressed his belief that using his jurisdiction, the task force prepared a report on criminal, procedure, punishment and institutional reform and it will help in policy reform.
The government formed a task force on January 18, 2080.
