The MPs of the House of Representatives have asked Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to resign immediately. Speaking at the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, MPs from Congress, UML and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party have argued that Parliament should remove the current government as they have lost their majority.
Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada mentioned that the government has blocked the country just like the roads were blocked by floods and landslides and said that the parliament should avoid it . He said that the government should not obstruct any work.
'The House had to remove the government . Just like floods and landslides cut the roads, the government has also cut the work of the parliament," said Khatiwada.
UML MP Raghuji Pant has lost his majority in Parliament, so Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal mentioned that it would be appropriate for him to resign on the basis of morality.
Although the constitution gave Dahal the right to vote of confidence, he said that since he lost the majority, the prime minister should resign and pave the way for the formation of a new government.
MP Pant said, "The beauty of democracy is its moral aspect". There is also a constitutional aspect. But moral things are not written in the constitution. The moral question now is whether the Prime Minister should resign. However, the constitution has given him the right to take a vote of confidence. Time has also been given to take the vote of confidence. But the moral aspect is not that . It is appropriate for him to resign after losing his majority. RPP MP Roshan Karki said that since there is no majority, his job is only to resign. She argued that since the Prime Minister has a maximum of 63 votes, it is not possible to get a majority in the Parliament.
MP Karki said, 'Prime Minister Dahalsag has only 63 votes so it is difficult to get a majority. Therefore, I would like to request the government to pay attention to this.' are .
