With Congress and UML agreeing to form a new government, there is a demand for Prime Minister Dahal to resign and pave the way. But Prime Minister Dahal said that according to the provisions of the constitution, preparations have been made to take the vote of confidence.
Prime Minister Dahal is preparing to take the vote of confidence on June 28, Gobind Acharya, the Prime Minister's press advisor said. According to him, Prime Minister Dahal has already written to the Parliament Secretariat for the purpose of taking the vote of confidence.
After UML withdrew its support to the government only on Wednesday, 8 UML ministers resigned. On June 17, Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) made a new equation and agreed to move forward with issues including government formation and constitutional amendment.
