China has decided to celebrate 'Visit Nepal-2025'. Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weitong, who is on a three-day visit to Nepal, said this in a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday.

He said that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Nepal-China diplomatic relations in 2025, China has decided to celebrate 'Visit Nepal-2025' with the aim of promoting Nepal's tourism and encouraging Chinese tourists to visit Nepal. 

The Prime Minister's Secretariat has stated that Deputy Foreign Minister Sun expressed his commitment that China will continue to support Nepal's economic and social development. Deputy Foreign Minister Sun came to Nepal on Monday to participate in the 16th meeting of the Nepal-China Diplomatic Consultation Mechanism.

In the meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office, Singhdarbar, the Prime Minister and the ambassador discussed issues of bilateral interest, mutual interest and cooperation. Rupak Sapkota, Prime Minister's foreign affairs advisor, informed that on this occasion, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his happiness over the assistance provided by China in the economic and social development of Nepal. In the future, Sapkota said that Nepal aims to be upgraded from a least developed country in 2026 and that China's support is needed to make it successful.
