Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that a crisis has arisen when the Chure area is in a vicious cycle of human encroachment. Prime Minister Dahal said this while addressing a program organized in Mirchaiya Municipality-7 Hill Park area on the occasion of Chure Conservation Day.

"The Chure mountain system is the water source of Terai-Madhesh, the natural resources in the Chure region are the lifeline for the people living in the lower coastal area, i.e. Madhesh," Prime Minister Dahal said, "but today, the natural resources in the Chure conservation area in Jan or Anjan have fallen into a vicious cycle of human encroachment. . He said that due to increasing population in Chure area, unorganized settlement, forest encroachment, forest fires, open grazing and exploitation of river materials, unorganized physical infrastructure construction, land erosion, its protection is becoming a challenge day by day.

Coordination, cooperation and joint efforts of the federal, provincial, local governments, local communities, and related agencies will be indispensable in the protection of the Chure region, he said. Mentioning that the tree planting program has given a positive message to the general public about forest and vegetation protection, Prime Minister Dahal said that in the past years, various types of saplings have been planted in vacant and damaged land including the river rise area, and bamboo and fruit trees have been distributed to the local people.&nbsp ;

Prime Minister Dahal stressed on the need to pay attention to the protection and care of the planted trees. The Chure Mountains spread over 37 districts from Ilam to West Kanchanpur in the east of Nepal are very sensitive from a geological point of view, rich in biological diversity and culture, and are habitats and biological pathways for rare wild animals.
