The hunger strike to death started by the families of Nepalis who have joined the Russian army with 13-point demands, including cancellation of the contract letter, has reached its 11th day on Monday.

Kritu Bhandari, the coordinator of the life saving campaign of Nepalese who are attached to the Russian army, Sirani Gharti Magar of Rukum and Kisan Thapa have been fasting to death since the 7th of Baisakh. The families of Nepalis who are recruited by the Russian army are also supporting them by fasting.

The hunger strike started from Maitighar Mandal is now sitting in Ratnapark through Bhrikutimandap. The Nepalese who have joined the Russian army should be safely rescued and brought to Nepal, the people who are waiting for rescue after canceling the contract agreement should be rescued and brought to Nepal immediately as they have been taken back to the battlefield, the Nepali injured in the war should be given proper treatment and compensation, pay and allowances, the 5 prisoners of war who are in the possession of Ukraine They are on hunger strike demanding that they should be rescued safely, bodies of the deceased should be brought and compensation should be provided from the Russian army, methods and procedures should be announced to investigate the situation of the missing and brought to the implementation level immediately, and the data of Nepalis working in the Russian army should be made public.

Similarly, other demands include the identification of middlemen who are lured to Russia and immediate action, the formation of a ministerial coordination committee for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the victims' families, the rehabilitation of young people who have returned from the Russian army, and the provision of proper care for the victims' families. To be done, in countries with diplomatic relations, Nepal should take initiatives not to recruit its citizens for military service without a military agreement.

The coordinator of the life-saving campaign of Nepali people attached to the Russian army  Bhandari said that the government was not serious about the Nepalese who had joined the Russian army, so she was forced to fast to death. "Since the beginning, we have been asking to break the contract agreement and bring it to the country. Nepalis are at risk every second in Russia. However, the government in Kathmandu seems to be sleeping," she said, "Until the government addresses our demands. Until then, we will be on a fast to death.' 36 people have died. The victim's family has not been able to find the body yet.

Sirani, who is fasting, said that the state does not see them. Her husband Maitman has not come to Serampak since last November 12th. 12 lakh rupees spent on 7th Kartik  Maitman reached Russia.

'If my old mouse is a rat, say that he went inside. Not even an eagle to fly away. The government gave approval and just left.  He went from the airport of Nepal. They are 'illegal'. They went without getting a work permit. That is acceptable. But if the state did not have the system to allow them, they would not have gone," she said. "The state has added pain to pain. The state is the guardian of people like us. There is a country and we are Nepalese. We are the people and the leader is whoever the prime minister is. No one took our case seriously.
