Police have arrested a person from Jorpati, Gokarneshwar Municipality–5, Kathmandu, with 6 rounds of ammunition used in an SLR (Self-Loading Rifle).
The arrested individual is 43-year-old Bikash Maharjan, a resident of Jyaputol, Naxal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–1, who was currently living in a rented room near Jorpati Telecom.
According to police, based on suspicion of involvement in gas cylinder theft, a team deployed from the Jorpati Police Post searched the rented room where Maharjan was staying. During the search, 6 rounds of ammunition used in an SLR rifle were found inside the room, after which he was arrested, according to the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
Maharjan has been kept at the Bouddha Police Circle along with the recovered ammunition for necessary investigation. Police stated that an investigation is underway to determine where the ammunition came from and whether it is related to any criminal activity.
