Three people have died in separate falls in Bhaktapur on the same day.
Police have confirmed that 27-year-old Raj Karki, a resident of Bardiya and currently residing in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, fell to his death from a hotel in Ghampedanda, Suryabinayak Municipality, Bhaktapur. Police said that Karki and his friends had gathered and a fight broke out while celebrating his birthday. After the incident, 27 people, including Karki's friends and those who were trying to break up the fight, are being questioned by the District Police Range, Bhaktapur, said Deepak Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Similarly, an 18-year-old girl has died after falling from the window of the Lumbini Guest House in Dudhpati, Bhaktapur Municipality-1. The deceased has been identified as Salina Shrestha, a resident of Dolakha and currently residing in Tedol, Changunarayan Municipality-9. According to police, she was found falling from the window of the guest house at around 3 am this morning. Shrestha, who was seriously injured, was immediately taken to Bhaktapur Hospital for treatment. However, the police informed that the doctors declared her dead during the treatment.
The police have taken four people who were in the guest house along with Salina into custody in connection with the incident and have initiated the necessary investigation.
Similarly, the police have informed that 70-year-old doctor Sarina Joshi of Sirutar, Suryabinayak Municipality-1, Bhaktapur, fell to her death from a four-story house.
