The Central Zoo in Lalitpur has been opened to the public since Friday.

The zoo was closed since 20 Ashad after a bird flu infection was confirmed in a zoo bird. The zoo administration has stated that the zoo has been reopened after the avian influenza (bird flu) virus was not detected in the environmental sample test after the treatment, cleaning and necessary management of the sick birds for infection control were completed.
