The police have started searching for a person who jumped into the Dhobi Khola from Rato Pul in Kathmandu.
Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, DIG Govinda Thapaliya, said that the search operation began immediately after receiving the information.
On Thursday afternoon, locals informed the police after seeing a man, estimated to be around 35 years old, jump into the river.
Soon after, the police began searching from Rato Pul and have reached up to the confluence of Dhobi Khola and Bagmati at Thapathali.
