Kathmandu Metropolitan City has allocated Rs 50 million for the first year of the multi-year plan for the construction of collective housing through the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84.

The budget mentions that financial arrangements have been made for the operation of a special program to solve the problem of homelessness. ‘Under the multi-year plan for the construction of the metropolitan hospital, Rs 40 million has been allocated for the first year of the construction of the hospital. Arrangements have been made to run yoga practice programs in the neighborhoods,’ the budget presented by Dangol states, ‘Rs 10 million has been allocated for the pneumonia vaccination of senior citizens. A budget has been made to run a special program for the diagnosis of incurable diseases such as cancer. An amount of Rs 20 million has been allocated for the establishment of an integrated health waste management center.’  

The free ambulance service program has been continued, and Rs 5 million has been allocated to initiate legal and necessary administrative work for the establishment of the Swanig University, the budget mentions.

Rs 160 million has been allocated for the metropolitan nutrition allowance program. Acting Mayor Dangol made this statement while unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2083/084 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. “The necessary budget has been allocated for the program to simplify and facilitate the registration process of the restored real estate details and the integrated taxpayer identity card program,” Dangol said. “The necessary amount has been allocated to operate a program to provide free health services to taxpayers at the Urban Health Promotion Center. Arrangements have been made to provide the land management services received by the metropolitan residents from the Land Revenue and Survey Office at the local level.”
