A new working committee led by Basnet was elected from the first convention of the RSP Bhaktapur held on Saturday. Smriti Bhattarai was also elected unopposed as the vice president. However, elections were held for the posts of secretary and joint secretary. Sanjeev Prajapati was elected as the secretary, defeating Rajesh Shilpakar. Ram Krishna Deuja has been elected as the joint secretary. He was elected as the joint secretary, defeating Pralhad Karki, informed outgoing district secretary Rukesh Ranjit. Among the members, Ranoj Thapa was elected unopposed from Constituency 1 and Raju Thapa from Constituency 2, while Krishna Prasad Ghimire and Ram Krishna Khanal were elected.
Among the women members, Prerna Desar was elected unopposed, informed outgoing district secretary Ranjit.
