Kathmandu Metropolitan City has handed over equipment worth Rs 17 million to the OPD service of Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj. Acting Chief of the Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, handed over the equipment to the hospital's Chief, Prof. Dr. Subash Acharya, during a program organized at the hospital on Thursday.

The technology, equipment and devices provided include 16 interactive kiosk machines with facilities for payment of fees, printing of reports by patients themselves, and depositing money for treatment from home, and 65 all-in-one desktops where all details related to treatment including reports and tests can be viewed at one place. Similarly, the capacity of servers and RAM has been increased for efficient service. The technology, equipment and devices provided in this way were obtained for Rs 17 million 16 thousand 670 through the public procurement process. In the

program, Acting Chief Dangol said that the hospital has been supported to increase access to easy health services for citizens by ending the situation of having to wait in line for hours to get treatment at government hospitals and spending time in long lines to pay.
