Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan has said that the budget will be increased in the education, health and employment sectors.
As the development and construction of infrastructure and heritage is almost complete, Lalitpur Metropolitan City will now bring a budget for the coming fiscal year to increase investment in the education, health and employment sectors.
Speaking at an organ donor honor program organized in Lalitpur on Thursday, Mayor Maharjan said that the metropolis does not need to manage additional budget in those areas as infrastructure development work is still pending in the wards of Khokana, Harisiddhi, Bungmati, and Dhapakhel that were later incorporated.
‘What we should focus on in the budget now is education, health and employment. We have also been investing a lot in health,’ he said.
Mayor Maharjan also said that the work of installing smart lights on the ring road within Lalitpur Metropolitan City will be completed within 4 months.
