Kathmandu Metropolitan City has filled out online application forms for the scholarship program for students studying in grades 11 and 12. The city has informed that 16,549 male students, 10,333 female students and 6 others have applied. Of the applicants, 23,499 have already applied.
Among the applicants, 18,996 are in science, 7,271 in management, 407 in law, 135 in education and 79 in humanities. A help desk has been set up in the department to facilitate parents and students who feel uncomfortable applying through the online system. So far, 84 applications have been rejected. Students whose names have been recommended do not have to pay any educational fees in grades 11-12.
