While a bulldozer was being used to demolish structures in the Manohara Sukumbasi settlement, residents there blocked the police and the bulldozer by throwing stones. Thimi Police Circle Chief DSP Nawaraj Dhungana and four policemen were injured in the process.
Bhaktapur Police Range Chief SP Surya Bahadur Khadka has informed that the demolition of unauthorized structures there will begin again tomorrow morning. SP Khadka said that the bulldozers were being demolished by some pucca houses and huts and that they were returned after being blocked.
