Dozers have also started demolishing unauthorized structures in the Manohara squatter settlement. Immediately after demolishing structures in the Thapathali and Gairigaun squatter settlements, dozers have been used to remove structures in the Manohara Khola slums on the Kathmandu-Bhaktapur border since the evening.
The squatters of Manohara had secured their belongings since yesterday. Police have said that almost all the belongings have been moved by this evening. There are 777 households here, according to the police. It is estimated that more than 4,000 people live in this area.
