Uday Bahadur Rana Magar has been appointed as the chairman of the board of directors of the National News Agency (RSS).
Joint Secretary Rana Magar has been appointed as the chairman of the board until further notice as per the decision of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on April 20, as the vacant chairman of the committee. Chairman Rana Magar resumed his post at the RSS Central Office, Bhadrakali on Thursday. He was welcomed by RSS General Manager Sandeep Rai and department heads.
Chairman Rana Magar directed the people to work in a way that the people feel the change as per the 'spirit' of the new government. He urged that the performance reports of all office bearers and every employee be prepared and an evaluation system be established. Chairman Rana Magar reminded the ministry that they have started giving two new progress reports every day, urging the RSS to stand on its own feet.
Chairman Rana Magar stressed that every employee should change himself to overcome the misconception that there are employees who spoil the country. He urged that the issue of service facilities should be raised only after doing fruitful work.
Chairman Rana Magar said that since he is not a full-time chairman, the RSS is run by a group of regular workers, so he will help bring the organization to a collective decision-making system and resolve the policy problems that have been seen.
General Manager Rai said that they felt more comfortable having the Joint Secretary of the Taluk Ministry as the chairman of the committee. He said that with the arrival of the new chairman, decisions to be made on policy and managerial issues will be made promptly.
Chairman Rana Magar was briefed on news production, quality improvement, service recipients and managerial issues by RSS Managing Editor Uttam Silwal, Chief News Anchor Ekraj Pathak, Chief Editor and Chief of Administration Sheetal Prasad Mahato and others.
The RSS Board of Directors members Rabindra Prasad Poudel and Krishna Adhikari participated in the program.
Born in 2031 in Belkotgadhi Municipality-12 of Nuwakot, Rana Magar entered the civil service in 2056. He has a PhD in Economics and a Master's degree from Japan.
Rana Magar, who has held the positions of Home Administration and Consul General of Hong Kong during his government service, has also published research-based books.
The resignation of RSS Chairman Dharmendra Jha on Chaitra 16 was accepted by the Council of Ministers meeting on Chaitra 22.
