Home Minister Sudhan Gurung and Minister for Women and Children Sita Badi have inspected the juvenile correctional home in Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur.

Both ministers inspected the juvenile correctional home on Thursday and took information. Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal said that the ministers took detailed information about the incident that took place on Magh 22 during the inspection. After the vandalism at the juvenile correctional home, an investigation committee was formed and a report was prepared, but the administration had complained to Home Minister Gurung that it was not implemented.

Similarly, Minister for Women and Children Badi took information about the juvenile correctional home from the girls staying at the juvenile correctional home, said Thimi Police Circle Chief DSP Nawaraj Dhungana. On Magh 22, a clash between juvenile wardens inside the juvenile correctional home led to arson and vandalism in the juvenile correctional home. After the incident, only 30 girls out of 167 juvenile wardens staying at the juvenile correctional home have been kept. 137 have been shifted outside the valley.

Bhaktapur Chief District Officer Dhakal said that 30 people were shifted from Bhaktapur to Birgunj, 76 to Nuwakot, and 31 to Hetauda. Of those shifted, 84 were above the age of 18.
