In line with its strategy to highlight spiritual and natural heritage and on the occasion of the first International Wellness Day, the Nepal Tourism Board has officially launched the Wellness Tourism Reel Video Competition.
Launched with the main slogan ‘Wellness in Every Frame, Nepal in Every Story’, the campaign invites tourists and local creators from all over the world to document the transformative power of Nepal’s wellness sector, the board said. Focusing on ‘Lifetime Experiences’, the initiative aims to establish Nepal as a premier destination for those seeking rejuvenation through Ayurveda, yoga and meditation, the board said.
The competition called on participants to capture the peace of the Himalayas and the country’s diverse wellness practices in an impactful 20-second reel. Creators are encouraged to submit videos covering areas such as Ayurveda, spa and massage, spiritual healing and traditional meditation practices through the official portal photonepal.org.
Deepak Raj Joshi, Executive Director of Nepal Tourism Board, said, 'This competition will act as a digital bridge connecting the world to the soul of our nation. By encouraging creators to capture their personal journeys of peace and rejuvenation, we are showing that Nepal is not just a destination for adventure tourism but also a global hub for wellness. We are excited to see the diverse stories from all seven provinces, which will surely inspire a new generation of conscious travelers to seek out their own experiences in Nepal.'
The competition has attractive prizes for the best submissions, under which one winner from each province will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 75,000 each to ensure nationwide representation. Participants will have to submit their videos by 2083 Baisakh 2.
