Nepal Police has honored the Rotary President's Action Group 2025-26. The group was honored during a ceremony in appreciation of its support in reviving the police posts damaged during the Gen-G uprising.
According to Rajaram Phuyal, President of the Rotary President's Action Group and President of the Rotary Club of Gongbu, significant assistance was provided to the police posts affected by the agitation by providing sanitation, painting, food, gas, water tanks, cisterns, furniture and computer-printers. He said that toilets were also constructed in some places.
Additional Inspector General of Police Ishwar Karki, Deputy Inspector General of Police Om Prasad Adhikari, District Governor-elect of Rotary District 3292 Bishnu Bahadur Karki, and senior police officers and Rotarians were present at the program.
Similarly, from the second day of the movement, Rotary had also conducted a blood donation program and carried out humanitarian work such as treating the injured, transporting them to hospitals, and providing medicine and food. Various Rotary clubs across the country had also conducted similar cooperative programs at police and traffic posts.
At the ceremony, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki presented a certificate of appreciation to the representatives of the Rotary President's Action Group and praised Rotary's contribution.
District Governor-elect Bishnu Bahadur Karki expressed his belief that such initiatives would inspire other organizations as well.
