The District Police Range, Bhaktapur, has taken 60 people into custody in three hours on Saturday. Named 'Sweep Operation', the people were taken into custody from Police Range, Bhaktapur, Police Circle Jagati and Police Circle Thimi on Saturday from 3 pm to 6 pm on suspicion of being involved in various activities, informed Chief SP Surya Bahadur Khadka of Police Range, Bhaktapur. According to him, they were taken into custody on suspicion of being involved in hooliganism, drug addiction and other criminal activities.
They have been kept in various police circles in Bhaktapur. SP Khadka said that further investigation will be conducted on Sunday and if found innocent, they will be released and if found guilty, further action will be taken.
