The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Sanjay Chaudhary, a technical assistant working at the Food Technology and Quality Control Department, Babarmahal, Monitoring and Inspection Branch, Kathmandu, along with the bribe money taken from a service recipient.
A team deployed from the CIAA office in Tangal has taken him under control along with Rs 30,000 taken from a service recipient. A statement issued by Antiyar spokesperson Suresh Neupane said, 'Based on the information and complaint that Chaudhary had been harassed by demanding bribes from service recipients for the purpose of renewing the industry, a team deployed from the CIAA, Tangal, seized the said amount and mobile phone number-2 from the premises of the Food Technology and Quality Control Department on 16 December 2082 and further investigation is underway.'
