2 arrested in connection with Hyatt Hotel vandalism and arson

According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, 37-year-old Kuldhwaj Lama, a Buddhist resident of Roshi Rural Municipality-4, Kavrepalanchok, and 37-year-old Rakesh Lama, a resident of Temal Rural Municipality-8, were arrested.

Two people involved in the vandalism of Hyatt Hotel in Boudha, the looting of Pride Casino and arson have been arrested. According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Kuldhwaj Lama, 37, of Kavrepalanchok Roshi Rural Municipality-4 and a resident of Boudha, and Rakesh Lama, 37, of Temal Rural Municipality-8, have been arrested. Police have said that further investigation is underway against those arrested on Saturday. 

They are accused of vandalizing Hyatt Hotel, looting Pride Casino and arson on Bhadra 24 during the Gen-G movement.

Five cases of public offenses and murder have been registered against Kuldhwaj on various dates, and seven cases of public offenses, kidnapping and physical restraint and indecent behavior have been registered against Rakesh, the police said.
