A student has been injured after jumping from the building of Ratna Rajya Secondary School in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31.
According to the police, the 15-year-old boy, who was studying in class 9, jumped from the third floor of the school at around 4:40 pm on Wednesday. He is a resident of Mirchaiya Municipality-6, Siraha and currently lives in New Baneshwor.
The injured were immediately rescued and taken to the National Trauma Center for treatment, said SP Pawan Kumar Bhatrai, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu. According to him, the injured are able to speak. His chin is injured and his left thigh is broken.
The cause of the incident has not been revealed and the police are conducting further investigations into the matter, Bhatrai said.
