Four people, including Sunil Thapa, who was absconding on Bhadra 10, were taken into custody by the police on Tuesday.

The Armed Police Force Nepal has said that Thapa, 33, of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-13 of Sunsari, was arrested from Lokanthali, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1, Bhaktapur. Thapa, who is serving a prison sentence in a drug trafficking case, absconded on Bhadra 10, informed the Central Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force, Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Bishnu Prasad Bhatta.

He said that along with him, Ashish Pandey, 33, of Lokanthali, Bhaktapur, Rashi Gautam, 21, of Imadol, and Yunik Pokharel, 21, of Naxal, Kathmandu, who were involved in drug trafficking, were also taken into custody.

They were taken into custody by a special team of the Armed Police Force Nepal Intelligence Bureau today based on a special tip-off that they were camping in a zinc hut in a street in Aparanna Lokanthali and were engaged in drug dealing. 15 grams of brown sugar and 50 tablets were also recovered from their possession.

Spokesperson Bhatta said that all four arrested persons have been handed over to the police for necessary action.
