Nepal Eye Hospital receives 'Doko Excellence Award'

Nepal Eye Hospital Tripureshwor has been honored with the ‘Doko Excellence Award 2025’. ‘Doko Recyclers has honored the hospital as an ‘Emerging Impact Partner’.

During the program organized on Friday, Doko Recyclers’ Chief Executive Officer Pankaj Panjiyar handed over the certificate of appreciation to the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Dharmaraj Gosain and Treasurer Anil Gorkhali.

Over the past years, the Eye Hospital, in collaboration with Doko Recyclers, has strengthened the waste segregation system, improved safe disposal practices, and increased environmental awareness among employees. As a result, the hospital has achieved significant achievements in its overall environmental impact.

According to Doko Recyclers’ statistics, a total of 2.66 tons of waste disposed of by the Eye Hospital during this period has been reused, saving about 28 trees. In addition, 1,113 cubic feet of landfill space has been saved and 2.2 tons of carbon emissions have been reduced.

Doko Recyclers has been collecting recyclable waste from the eye hospital. According to the organization, the hospital's waste generation, collection and disposal process has been conducted according to scientific and prescribed standards.
