The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has informed that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places in the valley, Gandaki and Koshi provinces until this evening. The division has stated that clouds have formed in these places and light thunder has begun.
Meteorologist of the division Bibhuti Pokharel said that there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in various parts of the country today. 'Although there is a possibility of rain until this evening, it will gradually improve as the western low pressure line is weakening,' she said.
According to Pokharel, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province. In addition, light rain and snowfall have been predicted in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province.
In some areas of the Terai, there is a possibility of mist and fog until Thursday morning, the division has stated. Caution has been urged as this could have a minor impact on traffic and air travel.
