Police have seized about 3 kg of silver from a passenger bus at Nagdhunga Check Point. The silver was seized during an inspection of a passenger bus (Ba Pr. 01-006 Kha 5529) coming from Birgunj to Kathmandu on Monday.
The silver was found hidden in a black bag with 17-year-old Ashu Shroff, a resident of Pheta Rural Municipality-6 in Parsa.
According to Kathmandu spokesperson Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, the value of the recovered silver is equivalent to Rs. 12,14,500.
The recovered material has been handed over to the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office, Gauchar for necessary action.
