A voter education campaign has begun in 138 wards of 10 constituencies and 11 local levels in Kathmandu district. The District Election Office has mobilized one volunteer to provide voter education in each ward.
According to Thakur Bhattarai, the election officer of the office, it will be conducted till Falgun 17. Volunteers will go to the doorsteps of each voter and teach them how to vote correctly.
With the aim of informing the general public about the importance of voting rights and the voting process, the Election Commission has mobilized one voter education volunteer in each of the 6,743 wards of 753 local levels across the country.
