Targeting the Mahashivaratri festival, work related to painting, cleaning, and infrastructure improvement has intensified in the premises of the Pashupatinath Temple and surrounding areas.

The Pashupati Area Development Trust has stated that special cleaning and other preparations have been carried out in the temple and surrounding areas with the aim of facilitating the devotees to visit easily and safely.

Nine thematic sub-committees have been formed under the main ceremony committee to prepare for Mahashivaratri, informed the Executive Director and Spokesperson of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, Subhash Chandra Joshi.

Since a large number of devotees come to visit Pashupatinath on the day of Mahashivaratri, special attention has been paid to crowd management, security and emergency services, and preparations have been intensified in coordination with security personnel, volunteers and various organizations, said the spokesperson Joshi.

Similarly, a 171-member main ceremony committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, to prepare for Mahashivaratri 2082.
