The District Public Health Office, Bhaktapur, is set to launch an HPV vaccination campaign against cervical cancer starting tomorrow.
Office Chief Anjana Khadka informed that a campaign to vaccinate 3,894 girls studying in grade 6 will begin from tomorrow to February 1. Similarly, 163 girls who are out of school are scheduled to be vaccinated on February 4 and 5. In an interaction with media persons on Sunday, Office Chief Khadka informed that 94 percent of girls in Bhaktapur were effectively vaccinated last year. Last year, an HPV vaccination campaign against cervical cancer was conducted for girls studying in grades 6 to 10 and girls aged 10 to 14 who are out of school.
