A complaint has been filed with the police alleging that jewelry worth at least 10 million rupees was stolen from a house in Bouddha, Kathmandu.
The police have launched an investigation after receiving information that the theft occurred while the clothes were drying on the roof on Tuesday afternoon, said SSP Ramesh Thapa, chief of the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
‘After receiving information that the theft occurred while the clothes were drying, a team including the police circle and a Buddhist has been deployed for investigation,’ he said, ‘We are conducting a technical examination and are investigating.’
A team from the Valley Crime Investigation Office has also been deployed to investigate the nature of the incident. ‘We are investigating by looking at details including CCTV, and a conclusion will be reached soon,’ said an officer of the office.
