The convocation ceremony of the 14th Post Graduate Diploma in Police Science (Police Inspector Basic Training) under the 183rd Police Inspector Group has been concluded. Prime Minister Sushila Karki inducted the trainee police inspectors at a ceremony organized on Monday at the National Police Training Academy in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

The training, conducted under the auspices of Tribhuvan University, began on 11 Shrawan 2081. 92 police inspectors, including 9 women, participated in the training.  

Prime Minister Karki presented the 'Kulanananda Vidya First Prize' to Police Inspector Nirajan Basnet, who came first in the training and first in physical ability and self-confidence, along with awards to Police Inspector Mohan Singh Basnet, second trainee, Tara Bahadur Tamang, third, Cavalry First Ishwar Mahat, Police Tactics and Operations First Trainee Dinesh Prasad Rimal, Study First Trainee Navin Kumar Shahi, and Musketry and Chandmari First Trainee Chai. 

Prime Minister Karki congratulated all the trainees who successfully completed the basic training of Police Inspectors with hard work, discipline and dedication and wished them professional success. Karki stated that ensuring elections in a free, fair and credible environment is the responsibility of the state and that the role of the Nepal Police in this responsibility is very sensitive, and directed all police personnel to rise above any political influence or bias and fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the spirit of the law.

On the occasion, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal said that the Nepal Police, which bears the profound responsibility of the internal security of the nation, has sensitive responsibilities such as law enforcement, crime control and investigation, protection of human rights, and disaster management. 

At the ceremony, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki welcomed the police officers who have undergone various ups and downs, difficulties and challenges of training for the development of knowledge, skills and capabilities.
