Rinendraman Singh Maharjan, the then Pradhan Panch of Kathmandu Nagar Panchayat, has passed away. He was the Pradhan Panch of 2030-32 BS.

Singh, who had been confined to his home for a long time due to paralysis, passed away on Saturday due to a heart attack. His body was cremated today at Jambudip in Teku. 

Singh, who was born in 2002, was elected as the ward chairman from the then ward no. 8 (now 22) of Kathmandu in 2028 BS. 

‘At that time, there were 29 wards in Kathmandu Nagar Panchayat. There was a system of electing the Pradhan Panch from the chairperson elected from the ward. Through this system, Singh became the Pradhan Panch of Kathmandu Nagar Panchayat for 2 years from 2030 BS,’ said Ward 22 Chairman Chinikaji Maharjan.

Singh is survived by his wife, 1 son and 2 daughters.
