Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki has directed all police personnel to demonstrate high professionalism and discipline and provide citizen-friendly police services.
On Thursday, he gave instructions on security sensitivity, contemporary issues, and police activities and work in the context of the upcoming elections through a virtual medium from the Police Headquarters.
IGP Karki said that effective police mobilization should be made by formulating the necessary security strategies to face the security challenges emerging in the society. He also directed to shoulder their responsibilities ruthlessly against any crime.
He also emphasized the need to adopt and implement the necessary security strategies to conduct the upcoming elections in a fear-free environment and to provide professional, responsible and accountable police services by coordinating and collaborating with the local level and all stakeholders for security management in their respective areas of responsibility. He said that all police personnel should address the complaints of citizens with polite speech, words and behavior.
