A bus returning from a picnic met with an accident in the foothills of Shankharapur Municipality-3, Kathmandu, on Wednesday evening.
The bus, registered as Ba 4 Kha 8788, was returning from a picnic in Jarsingpauwa to Sankhu when it fell about 100 meters off the road. All the passengers were rescued from the spot and sent to various hospitals, informed SP Naresh Raj Subedi, Information Officer of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office. The bus is still at the spot. It is estimated that there were around 40 people on board the bus. SP Subedi said that details of the casualties have not been received yet.
