The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has launched a Public Announcement System (PAS) and a token system with QR.

The system, which was established with the aim of providing simple and fast services to service recipients, was jointly inaugurated by Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal on Friday.

According to him, after the service recipient who comes to get services through the system enters the office, the documents of the service recipient will be verified.

Then, based on the service they want to get, they can get the service from the concerned branch by taking a token. Service recipients can also get information about their turn by scanning the QR code of the token through their mobile phones.

The Administration Office has stated that the compulsion to stand/crowd at windows and doors to receive services has ended with this technology.

The office has also established a systematic waiting and help room for service recipients along with this service.

Minister Aryal said that the 'PAS' system is the first in an office under the Ministry of Home Affairs and said that efforts should be made to start this service in all district administrations of the country. He said that the current generation also wants a similar service.
