An Indian engineer who had been living in Nepal for nearly two decades has been murdered in Lalitpur.
Lalitpur Metropolitan City-24, Lalitpur District Police Range Chief SSP Hovindra Bogati said that 46-year-old engineer Dev Kumar was murdered in Dhapakhel. According to him, Kumar was murdered in a colony under construction in Dhapakhel on 19 Kartik, but it was only discovered late.
‘He used to stay outside sometimes before, and the family informed him late,’ SSP Bogati said, ‘When the police started the investigation, it turned out that the accused had fled to India.’
The involvement of his colleagues in the house construction and design work is suspected. ‘Investigation of this incident is our priority,’ Bogati said, ‘The accused have been identified, sooner or later, the accused will be arrested.’
