25-year-old youth from Sindhuli murdered in Lalitpur, body found in well

Keshav Raj Hayu, 25, a resident of Golanjor Rural Municipality-5, Sindhuli, has been murdered in Lalitpur.

The body of Hayu, who was preparing to go for foreign employment, was found dumped in a well of an agricultural farm in Lubhu on Thursday, said District Police Range Chief Hovindra Bogati.

‘The lid of the well was open, and the locals reported it after becoming suspicious,’ said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bogati. ‘After that, a police team reached there and started an investigation.’

The team deployed for the investigation took two suspects into custody on Friday. One of those currently in police custody is a relative of the deceased Hayu. The police have not revealed his name, saying that a detailed investigation is underway.

According to an officer deployed for the investigation, the investigation so far has shown that Hayu may have been killed elsewhere and brought there on a motorcycle and left there.

‘This appears to be a murder committed by two or three people over financial issues,’ the officer said. ‘Details will be revealed once more people are arrested.’

According to the police, the hammer and clothes used in the murder have been recovered from the room of one of the accused.
