Fourteen heinous crimes have occurred in Bhaktapur in the last one month. The District Police Range, Bhaktapur, today made public the details of the incidents that took place in the district throughout last Mangsir, stating that there were 14 serious crimes.

The information officer of the complex and Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Javeju informed that 37 people were arrested in a month and 132 cases were registered.

According to him, there have been eight drug-related, four rape and two human trafficking incidents. He said that crimes related to women, children and senior citizens have been seen more.

Similarly, informing that banking crimes are the most common in the district, 67 banking-related cases were registered in Mangsir out of 71 economic crimes. He informed that two cases of dereliction of duty of public interest were successfully investigated, 37 people were arrested and a fine of Rs 3.813 million was paid during the implementation of the verdict.

Information officer Javeju said that the person was sentenced to seven years, six months and 16 days in prison. He also informed that out of 49 cases involving women, children and senior citizens, 33 cases have been settled and 16 cases are pending.

According to Information Officer Javeju, 33 people are between the ages of 18 and 40 and 16 are between the ages of 40 and 60. Analyzing the data based on the age group of the perpetrators, there are 36 people between the ages of 18 and 40 and 20 are between the ages of 40 and 60.

Out of eight women who went missing in Mangsir, six have been found, while five out of seven men have been found. All 11 missing girls have been found, according to the police. Out of 20 complaints related to domestic violence related to husband-wife disputes, 11 have been settled so far.

Out of 2010 registered complaints, 167 have been resolved. Out of 44 complaints received at the Police Office through the District Administration Office, 40 have been resolved, according to the police. Stating that 12 people have been arrested in eight drug cases, Deputy Superintendent of Police Javeju said that various types of drugs have been recovered. The District Police Office, Bhaktapur has confirmed that five suicide cases occurred in Mangsir.
