Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra (Balen) Shah has been bereaved. His father Ram Narayan Shah passed away at the Civil Hospital in New Baneshwor on Monday.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki also visited the hospital.

Shah is an Ayurvedic doctor by profession. He worked at the Ayurvedic Hospital in Naradevi, Kathmandu. After working there for a long time, he was transferred to the Vaidya Khana in Singha Durbar.
