IIMS College has started its academic activities from a well-equipped building in Bhagwati Bahal, Naxal.

The building, which was built according to new technology and international standards, was inaugurated on Friday by Taylors University Malaysia Vice Chancellor Berry Win. Along with him, the college's Assistant Vice Chancellor Angie Sok Ping, Executive Dean Nithaya Arya Raghavan and Chong Siong Choyko from Malaysia were also present at the event.

With the aim of taking the education system in Nepal to new heights, the college has constructed two separate buildings named Everest and Innovation on 10.5 ropanis of land. According to the college's Academy Director Birat Singh Boswa, the building has also built its own rooftop learning terrace, cafe and backpack hotel along with classrooms, laboratories, meeting rooms, toilets according to international standards. The building has 30 classes. Boswa informed that it has the capacity to send up to 2,000 students at a time. 

IIMS College, established in Putalisadak in partnership with Taylors International University in 2010, has announced that it has become IIMS 2.0 with its new building and technology. Taylors University, the college’s partner, is ranked 253rd in the QS World Rankings among the leading private universities in Southeast Asia and is listed among the top 1% of universities in the world. 

IIMS College Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sabindra Maharjan said that IIMS 2.0 is not just a building but a commitment to the future of Nepal. According to him, the college’s objective is to create a world-class educational environment in Nepal itself. 

Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Win said that the new modern and well-equipped building has reached an important milestone in international education. ‘Our collaboration has been providing quality education to Nepalese students beyond geographical boundaries. The new structure will further help,’ he said, ‘This collaboration will empower Nepalese students in international education and quality improvement.’ 

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new building, the guests were welcomed with a traditional Newa dance and the students also displayed the projects they had built during their studies. 

He said that this college has been teaching Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS), Bachelor of International Hospitality Management (BIHM) and Bachelor of Business (BS). The college has also stated that it is studying the issue of starting an MBA program.
