The Council of Ministers has decided to promote Ishwor Karki to the position of Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG). The decision to promote him has been made after he was recommended for promotion to AIG by the DIG a week ago.
With the decision to promote him, he has been given the responsibility of the chief of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranpokhari. After AIG Dan Bahadur Karki, who was leading the office, was promoted to IGP, Om Prasad Adhikari was in charge of the acting chief of the Valley Police.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to send DIG Binod Ghimire to lead the Koshi Province Police Office, where Karki was promoted.
