A restaurant has come into operation that not only provides customers with delicious food, but also a taste of knowledge. Walnut Bistro Restaurant in Panipokhari, Kathmandu, has also brought into operation a library for customers.

The restaurant has recently launched a new campaign called ‘Little Free Library’. Where customers can borrow books for free and keep their own books. This small but attractive library box, located near the entrance of the restaurant, will have a variety of books ranging from literature, poetry, travelogues, biographies to children’s literature.

Based on the concept of ‘Leave a book and take a book’ or ‘Take one, keep one’, the campaign aims to encourage the culture of reading through book exchange, said Rakesh Dangol, the restaurant’s manager.

He said that this initiative by the library is expected to provide customers with a deeper experience through a combination of taste, culture and creativity. Dangol said that in the future, the restaurant will organize literary reading programs, interactions with authors and special activities to promote children’s literature.
